November 20, 2023 (MLN): The net sale of securities for the week ended November 03, 2023 clocked in at Rs532 million, as compared to a net purchase worth Rs1.36 billion recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

During the week, the gross sale of securities was recorded at Rs2.08bn, which is around 10.78% lower than the figures recorded last week.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs1.55bn, which is 58.05% lower than the prior week, resulting in a net sale of Rs532m for the week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities decreased by Rs2.14bn while the net sale of securities decreased by Rs251m.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs613m, while its outflow has been reported at Rs1.79bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs25.39bn, which marks a rise of Rs130m over the week.
