Weekly SCRA observes net sale of Rs0.35mn

June 22, 2023 (MLN): The gross sale of securities during the week was recorded at Rs3.73 billion, which is 2.47x higher than the figures recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) today.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs3.7bn, which is 2x higher than the prior week. Consequently, the net sale of securities for the week ended June 16, 2023, clocked in at Rs0.35 million, whereas last week, the accounts observed a net purchase of Rs350.4mn.

The sale of securities includes the Sale/Purchase of all securities & shares admissible under SCRA accounts. In the previous format sale/purchase of shares/securities other than TBs and PIBs was published.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities rose by Rs1.87bn while the net sale of securities increased by Rs2.23bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs348.14mn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs933.47mn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs26.41bn, which marks a rise of Rs33.65mn over the week.
