US Ambassador expresses confidence in Pakistan's economic policies

February 22, 2023 (MLN): The Ambassador of the United States of America to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Donald Blome, expressed confidence in Pakistan's economic policies and programs for promoting socio-economic uplift during a meeting with Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar Today.

Ambassador Blome underscored the strong and deep-rooted bilateral relations between the United States and Pakistan on economic and trade fronts and extended his support to further promote bilateral economic, investment, and trade relations between the two countries.

Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar briefed the US Ambassador on the government's pragmatic plans related to revenues and expenditures for meeting national and international financial obligations. He also highlighted various economic avenues in which both countries can further deepen their economic relations.

The meeting between the finance minister and US Ambassador focused on enhancing existing bilateral relations between both countries, particularly in the areas of trade and investment.

The United States has been a longstanding partner of Pakistan, providing significant economic and developmental assistance over the years. Pakistan's government has undertaken several measures to promote economic growth and sustainability, including the establishment of special economic zones and the promotion of foreign investment in various sectors.
