Turks welcome Initiative of Pakistan’s new e-visa Facility

March 15, 2019 (MLN): Embassy of Pakistan, Ankara, on Thursday organized an event where the inauguration ceremony of the Pakistan Online Visa System by the Prime Minister of Pakistan as happening in Islamabad was screened live.

Turkish dignitaries, tour operators and Pakistan community based in Ankara attended, says a press release received from Ankara on Thursday.

Turkey is selected among the first five countries whose citizens will avail the new e-visa facility for visit to Pakistan.

Welcoming guests at the event, Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi said this landmark initiative by the Government of Pakistan will help attract more tourists as well as foreign investment into Pakistan. He remarked that this initiative is the best tool to further enhance Pakistan’s soft power.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Turkish guests lauded the initiative. Former Chairman of Pakistan Turkey Friendship Group in Turkish Parliament and current Deputy Chairman of Foreign Affairs of the AK Party Mr. Burhan Kayaturk remarked that with the new initiative, obtaining Pakistan visa would be easier.

He showed optimism that many Turks would now visit Pakistan and enjoy the natural beauty as well as the traditional hospitality of the brotherly Pakistan.
