November 2, 2022 (MLN): The stock market remains in a range-bound trading session throughout the day and it closed positive, on the news of Prime Minister’s visit to China and Chinese president agreed to strengthen cooperation on CPEC.

As a result, the KSE-100 index gained 135.90 points (0.33% DoD) to close the session at 41,944.59.

The benchmark KSE-100 index made an intraday high of 42,004.90 and an intraday low of 41,727.15 during the day.

By the session’s end, the total volumes of the KSE-100 index stood at 73.24mn shares from 76.75mn shares traded on Tuesday.

In terms of sectors, most of the positive contributions came from oil & gas exploration, oil & gas marketing, fertilizer, automobile assembler, and power gencos which cumulatively added 176.63 points to the index tally by the day’s end.

Out of 93 companies’ shares traded today 48 companies recorded gains and 40 companies sustained losses and five company share remains unchanged.

 

Meanwhile, the volume leaders on the benchmark index were CNERGY (16.09mn), SNGP (5.97mn), TRG (5.89mn), FABL (3.21mn), and PPL (2.92mn).

The scrips which gained the most during the session included: PAKT (1.84%), APL (3.44%), POL (2.42%), ICI (1.01%), and GADT (2.51%). On the other hand, the stocks that emerged as net losers during the day included NESTLE (0.52%), PSEL (1.76%), ATLH (1.32%), PKGS (0.84%), and LUCK (0.56%).
