Slow trend persists in Public Sector Spending

March 18, 2019 (MLN): Public sector spending in the first eight months of the current fiscal year amounted to Rs 373 billion. This means that out of the total allocation of Rs 675 billion to Public Sector Spending, around 45 percent has been utilized.

As per the data released by Planning Division, the government released Rs 28 billion for water projects and Rs 30 billion for special areas.

For betterment of AJK, the amount released stood at Rs 17.6 billion, whereas for Gilgit-Baltistan fund disbursement stood at Rs 12.6 billion.

Moreover, the amount for NHA and PEPCO stood at Rs 15.7 billion and Rs 12 billion respectively.
