SBP to issue banknotes with Jameel Ahmad's signature from tomorrow

December 28, 2022 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will start issuing banknotes bearing the signature of SBP Governor, Jameel Ahmad with effect from December 29, 2022, from the offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation, said a press release issued today.
The banknotes bearing the signatures of his predecessors will continue to remain in circulation as legal tender, it added.
Jameel Ahmad was appointed as Governor of SBP on August 19, 2022, for five years.
