PSX to commemorate Iqbal Day with closure on November 09

November 06, 2023 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (PSX) will remain closed on Thursday, November 09, 2023, on account of Allama Iqbal Day, the bourse informed through a notice sent to all TRE certificate holders on Monday.

“All TRE Certificate Holders, Staff and concerned are hereby informed that Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed on Thursday, November 9th 2023 on account of Allama Iqbal Day,” the notice reads.

The holiday will be observed throughout the country.

November 09 is observed as Iqbal Day to honor the birthday of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the national philosopher, poet, and politician of Pakistan.

He played an instrumental role in inspiring millions of Muslims across the subcontinent to seek an independent homeland.
