PSX reduces post-close session start time significantly

November 06, 2024 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will significantly reduce the interval between the close of the regular market and the start of the post-close session—from 30 minutes to just 5 minutes.

The revised timings will take effect starting Monday, November 18, 2024.

This reduction in timing is achieved due to the efficient processing of price computation through the New Trading System (NTS), enabling the instant generation of closing prices, PSX said in a notice.

The local bourse said the reduction in time is aimed at an improved experience for TREC Holders along with an enhanced efficiency in the internal EOD processes of PSX and NCCPL.
