PSX recomposes Oil & Gas and Banking Sector tradable indices

January 27, 2022 (MLN): Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has carried out the exercise of re-composition of Oil & Gas and Banking Sector tradable indices for the review period from July 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021, a notice issued by Exchange showed today.

As a result of re-composition, there is no change in the tradable index of the Banking Sector index whereas, in the Oil & Gas Sector tradable index, Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) will enter the index.

According to the notice, tradable sector indices capture a minimum of 80% free-float market capitalization of the given sector (without any minimum companies’ limit).

The recomposed index will be implemented w.e.f. Tuesday, February 15, 2022, the notice said.
