October 21, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan’s IT exports have grown at an average annual rate of around 21% over the past four years, reaching approximately $435m in September 2026, with the United States accounting for about 57% of the total, said Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) CEO Faisal Jeddy at Pak–U.S. Tech Connect 2026 in Dallas, Texas.
He said the country produces
approximately 70,000 IT and computer science graduates annually, and that
Pakistani companies are building capabilities in artificial intelligence, cloud
computing, cybersecurity, fintech and enterprise solutions.
He urged Pakistani-American
professionals to facilitate corporate introductions and business partnerships.
PSEB will continue to support investors and address operational challenges in
coordination with relevant institutions, including the Special Investment
Facilitation Council (SIFC), according to the press release.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US,
Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, described the US as a global hub of technological
innovation and Pakistan’s largest IT export market. He pointed to opportunities
in emerging technologies and AI, and noted that approximately 60–65% of
Pakistan’s population is below the age of 30, a significant demographic
advantage.
The 2026 series has adopted a
more focused, business-oriented format, featuring approximately 13–14
established Pakistani technology companies with proven international
experience.
The objective is to move beyond
showcasing the sector to demonstrating its ability to deliver world-class
solutions and forge commercially meaningful partnerships, he said.
The Ambassador also encouraged
the diaspora to facilitate business linkages and promote Pakistan as a reliable
and competitive technology partner.
The Dallas conference brought
together Pakistani technology companies, American business executives,
investors and members of the Pakistani-American community.
It featured company presentations
and business-to-business interactions with corporate executives, investors,
technology buyers and strategic partners from Dallas–Fort Worth and other parts
of Texas.
The conference was organized with
the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, D.C., the Consulate General of Pakistan
in Houston, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, PSEB
and OPEN Global.
The series has included
engagements in California and Dallas, with sequels scheduled in Washington,
D.C., on October 21 and Chicago on October 23, 2026.
