Pakistan’s Constitutional Court joins Baku roundtable on AI in judiciary

October 21, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan’s Federal Constitutional Court has joined an international roundtable in Baku on the role of artificial intelligence in the functioning of constitutional courts, where Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan delivered a detailed address on the subject.

The event is held at the invitation of the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of the Turkic World (TÜRK-AY), which granted the Court observer status in July 2026.

The roundtable brought together heads, senior officials and judges of the constitutional courts of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Cyprus. The Court’s Registrar, Muhammad Hafeez Ullah Khan, also attended, according to the press release.

At the end of the event, the Chief Justice presented commemorative shields and gifts reflecting Pakistan’s cultural heritage to the participants. He also invited Dr. Farhad Abdullayev, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan, to visit Pakistan, and the invitation was accepted.

Before the roundtable, the Chief Justice visited the Victory Monument and the memorial of Azerbaijan’s national leader, Heydar Aliyev, in Baku, where he laid floral wreaths.

The visit will continue until October 24 and is expected to strengthen judicial cooperation and the exchange of experience between the two countries.
