June 06, 2023 (MLN): The capital market continued its bullish momentum on Tuesday as investors cheered the news flows wherein the Prime Minister assured that the deal with IMF to be signed soon.

As a result, the KSE-100 Index added on Tuesday by the session’s close to settle at 41,923.46, marking an intraday high of 42,026.94. 

The total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 122.487 million shares.

Of the companies in KSE100 59 closed up, 29 closed down, 5 were unchanged while 7 remained untraded.

KSE100 index was supported by Fertilizer with 64.83, Oil & Gas Marketing Companies with 43.65, Refinery with 25.56, Chemical with 22.02 and Cement with 16.51 points.

Companies adding points to the index were ENGRO with 41.17, PSO with 36.7, BAHL with 24.09, TRG with 20.32 and EFERT with 12.46 points.

KSE100 Index was let down by Automobile Assembler with 3.72, Power Generation & Distribution with 3.32, Insurance with 0.7, Miscellaneous with 0.41 and Woollen with 0.15 points.

Companies dragging the index lower were HUBC with 12.54, SYS at 10.57, MCB with 10.34, HBL with 6.58 and SNGP with 6.08 points.

In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 28,101.38 with a net gain of 163.92 points.

The total market volume was 240.829 million shares with traded value being recorded at 7.14 billion.

There were 118,063 trades reported in 330 companies with 198 closing up, 113 closing down and 19 remaining unchanged.
