The index traded in a range of 269.32 points showing an intraday high of 45,283.3 and a low of 45,013.98.
Total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 148.647 million shares.
Of the 100 index companies 32 closed up, 59 closed down, 4 were unchanged while 5 remained untraded.
KSE100 Index was let down by Technology & Communication with 39.58, Fertilizer with 30.76, Cement with 24.22, Automobile Assembler with 12.82 and Power Generation & Distribution with 11.68 points.
Companies dragging the index lower were SYS with 49.28, ENGRO with 26.51, CHCC with 13.48, HUBC with 12.83 and MEBL with 11.8 points.
KSE100 index was supported by Chemical with 68.45, Commercial Banks with 31.14, Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. with 20.67, Oil & Gas Marketing Companies with 7.63 and Paper & Board with 2.09 points.
Companies adding points to the index were COLG with 73.44, UBL with 26.79, BOP with 22.91, PSX with 13.49 and TRG with 9.21 points.
In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 30,434.06 with a net gain of 104.92 points.
Total market volume was 314.785 million shares compared to 267.514 from the previous session while traded value being recorded at 6.77 billion showing a decrease of Rs.0.01 billion.
