KSE-100 index rockets past 60

June 16, 2023 (MLN): The benchmark KSE100 Index ended the trading session on Friday at 41,301.29 showing a decrease of 67.87 points.

The index traded in a range of 332.51 points showing an intraday high of 41,612.67 and a low of 41,280.16.

Total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 60.078 million shares.

Of the companies in KSE100 33 closed up, 55 closed down, 6 were unchanged while 6 remained untraded.

KSE100 Index was let down by Commercial Banks with 46.76, Fertilizer with 35.89, Power Generation & Distribution with 29.45, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 19.62 and Pharmaceuticals with 12.31 points.

Companies dragging the index lower were MEBL with 18.43, ENGRO with 17.03, EFERT with 16.82, PSO with 16.74 and HUBC with 15.6 points.

KSE100 index was supported by Chemical with 57.48, Technology & Communication with 18.4, Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. with 10.46, Cement with 9.83 and Textile Composite with 2.17 points.

Companies adding points to the index were COLG with 64.46, SYS with 27.29, DAWH with 13.03, SHEL with 12.1 and MLCF with 6.53 points.

In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 27,920.66 with a net loss of 99.7 points.

Total market volume was 156.023 million shares with traded value being recorded at 3.75 billion.

There was 70,637 trades reported in 323 companies with 108 closing up, 183 closing down and 32 remaining unchanged.
