July 25, 2023 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 index continued its upward trajectory, ending today's trading session at 46,417.34 points, gaining 362.53pts or 0.79% DoD.
The Index traded in a range of 521.24 points, showing an intraday high of 46,540.87 and a low of 46,019.63.
Total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 142.843 million shares.
The KSE-100 index has gained 4,964.65pts or 11.98% since the Staff Level Agreement (SLA) was signed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on June 30.
Of the 100 index companies 59 closed up, 33 closed down, 4 were unchanged while 4 remained untraded.
KSE100 index was supported by Commercial Banks with 196.77, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 64.22, Fertilizer with 31.96, Technology & Communication with 20.22 and Chemical with 12.25 points.
Companies adding points to the index were HBL with 110.84, OGDC with 36.17, BAHL with 24.02, MCB with 19.4 and HMB with 15.54 points.
KSE100 Index was let down by Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. with 13.97, Sugar & Allied Industries with 4.72, Automobile Parts & Accessories with 4.34, Glass & Ceramics with 3.66 and Engineering with 2.82 points.
Companies dragging the index lower were DAWH with 18.03, JDWS with 4.72, THALL with 4.34, SEARL with 3.61 and GHGL with 2.79 points.
In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 31,054.07 with a net gain of 206.46 points.
Total market volume was 319.893 million shares compared to 299.076 from the previous session while traded value being recorded at 10.26 billion showing an increase of Rs.2.12 billion.
There was 137,572 trades reported in 345 companies with 196 closing up, 124 closing down and 25 remaining unchanged.
