March 13, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan Single Window (PSW), the designated operator of the Pakistan Single Window System, and Maqta Technologies, the digital arm of AD Ports Group, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at facilitating international trade through the implementation of innovative digital solutions.

PSW, a state-owned entity, is responsible for the development, implementation, and operation of the Pakistan Single Window System.

This digital platform streamlines cross-border trade by enabling traders to submit import, export, and transit-related data through a unified digital portal.

Maqta Technologies Group specializes in integrated trade, transport, and logistics solutions, contributing to the digital transformation of global trade, according to the press release issued today.

This collaboration seeks to drive digital innovation and improve efficiency in cross-border trade by leveraging both organizations' expertise in designing and implementing cutting-edge digital solutions.

The partnership will introduce value-added services, including digital customs clearance, smart warehousing, risk management systems, eCommerce, cargo and port community systems, trade finance, and predictive analytics for trade optimization and risk management.

Utilizing advanced technologies such as AI, Blockchain, and IoT, the partnership aims to streamline trade processes, reduce delays, and enhance transparency and regulatory compliance.

Under the agreement, Maqta Technologies Group and PSW will focus on developing joint commercial opportunities in digital trade facilitation and logistics solutions worldwide.

The collaboration also aims to promote environmentally sustainable trade practices through paperless documentation and carbon-efficient logistics.

Dr. Noura Al Dhaheri, CEO of Digital Cluster and CEO of Maqta Technologies Group – AD Ports Group, stated: "Our partnership with Pakistan Single Window highlights our dedication to enhancing cross-border trade through advanced digital solutions."

"We will leverage our combined capabilities to unlock new commercial opportunities and maximize trade facilitation in Pakistan and global markets," she added.

Syed Aftab Haider, CEO of Pakistan Single Window, emphasized: "This partnership marks a significant step in PSW’s vision to contribute to international trade facilitation on a global scale by forging new partnerships and collaborations with leading players in the region."

"Maqta Technologies Group brings invaluable global expertise and experience in digital solutions for customs and trade, while PSW is quickly emerging as the most successful single window implementation experience in the region," he noted

"Together, we are well positioned to drive meaningful advancements in trade facilitation," he added.

Maqta Technologies Group, a leader in digital solutions for trade and logistics stakeholders, has been recognized by the World Customs Organization (WCO) for its innovations in customs and trade processing.

The company’s digital solutions have processed approximately 200 million transactions, generating extensive data that enables the development of advanced technological solutions to enhance trade speed and efficiency.

Pakistan plays a crucial role in AD Ports Group's strategic growth in Central Asia as the maritime gateway of the "Middle Corridor," linking Asia and Europe.

AD Ports Group has invested in maritime and logistics businesses along this corridor, including in Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

The Pakistan Single Window (PSW) initiative aims to enhance Pakistan’s trade competitiveness by reducing the time and cost of cross-border trade through the digitalization of trade processes.

The PSW system eliminates paper-based manual procedures and replaces them with an electronic facility that allows all trade and transport stakeholders to submit standardized information and documents through a single-entry point.

As the Federal Board of Revenue's (FBR) technology partner, PSW is supporting Pakistan Customs in the digital transformation of its customs clearance system, including improvements to the customs risk management system.
