PMRS to expand ethanol production to 65,000 litres per day

July 31, 2023 (MLN): The Board of Directors (BoD) of Premier Sugar Mills (PMRS) has approved the expansion of the company's Ethanol Production unit to 65,000 Litres per day, PMRS’s latest filing on PSX revealed.

The existing plant has been in commercial production since the 1960s and its distillation unit needs to be upgraded in order to get an enhanced end product along with technological upgradation.

“The capacity will be enhanced to 65,000 Liters per day of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA),” the notice reads.

The notice further states that this upgradation will not only add value to the efficiency of the existing system but will also increase sales and profitability.
