PMEX Index edges higher by 29 points to 4,023-mark

May 20, 2020: On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index inched up by 29 points only to close at 4,023. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.246 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,477.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.920 billion, followed by Silver (PKR 584.250 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 376.668 million), Platinum (PKR 325.734 million), Crude Oil (PKR 292.769 million), DJ (PKR 259.515 million), NSDQ 100 (PKR 207.567 million), Natural Gas (PKR 166.448 million), SP500 (PKR 109.172 million) and Copper (PKR 3.487 million).

In agriculture commodities, 4 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 16.068 million and 10 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 4.710 million were traded.
