Pakistan, Armenia seek stronger trade, investment tie

September 14, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan and Armenia have expressed interest in expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, education and economic engagement.
Pakistan’s first Ambassador to Armenia, Shafqat Ali Khan,
presented his credentials to Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan during a
ceremony in Yerevan.
President Khachaturyan expressed support for efforts to
strengthen relations between the two countries and expand cooperation across
areas of mutual interest, according to the press release.
The two sides identified trade and investment, education,
culture and people-to-people contacts as potential areas for deeper engagement.
The ambassador conveyed the greetings of Pakistan’s
President and Prime Minister and reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to
strengthening bilateral relations with Armenia.
The latest diplomatic engagement comes as both sides seek to
explore opportunities for greater economic and commercial cooperation.
