Ishaq Dar calls for stronger Pakistan-China trade, investment ties

September 14, 2026 (MLN): Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has called for further strengthening Pakistan-China economic cooperation across trade, investment, connectivity and technology.
Ishaq Dar made the remarks during a meeting with Pakistan’s
Ambassador-designate to China Ali Asad Gilani in Islamabad.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of
deepening the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership
across trade and investment, connectivity, CPEC, agriculture, science and
technology, education and people-to-people exchanges.
Ishaq Dar congratulated the ambassador-designate on his
appointment and expressed confidence that his experience would contribute to
strengthening bilateral ties.
The engagement comes as Pakistan seeks to deepen investment
and commercial cooperation with China across infrastructure, technology and
other strategic sectors.
