PMEX index closes at 3,548 points

KARACHI, Jul 04 (APP):Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited (PMEX)'s commodity index on Tuesday closed at 3,548 points; with traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX recorded at Rs 4.081billion.

The number of lots traded was 6,897, said a statement on Wednesday.

(The data is compiled and released after 24 hours.)

Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to Rs 1.091 billion, followed by gold Rs 1.058 million, WTI crude oil Rs 835.267 million, platinum Rs 510.204 million, NSDQ100 Rs 175.949 million, silver Rs 122.677 million, DJ Rs 109.158million, SP500 Rs 105.308 million, copper Rs 29.864 million, natural gas Rs 29.762 million and Brent crude oil Rs 13.789 million.

In agriculture 4 lots of cotton amounting to Rs 11.053 million were traded.
