PMEX index closes at 3,336 points

Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Ltd. (PMEX) Commodity Index on Tuesday closed at 3,336 points with total traded value of Metals, Energy, COTS/FX and US Indices clocking in at Rupees 5.813 billion during the day with total number of lots traded at 8,421.

Furthermore, 1 lot was traded in agriculture with total value of 475.316 thousand.

Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.656 billion followed by WTI crude oil (PKR 1.622 billion), currencies through COTS (PKR 751.767 million), DJ (PKR 618.409 million), NSDQ100 (PKR 529.486 million), silver (PKR 219.159 million), natural gas (PKR 154.064 million), platinum (PKR 144.177 million), Brent crude oil (PKR 70.603 million), SP500 (PKR 26.119 million) and copper (PKR 20.869 million). In agricultural commodities, one lot of cotton amounting to PKR 0.475 million was traded.
