PMEX Commodity Index inches lower by 14pts to 3,525-mark

March 31, 2020: PMEX Commodity Index continued its downward momentum on Monday as it inched lower by 14 points to close at 3,525. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.614 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,119.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 1.138 billion, followed by Crude Oil (PKR 1.092 billion), DJ (PKR 677.799 million), Brent Crude Oil (PKR 628.094 million), NSDQ 100 (PKR 434.060 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 317.424 million), Silver (PKR 203.611 million), SP500 (PKR 69.235 million), Copper (PKR 23.638 million), Platinum (PKR 19.294 million) and Natural Gas (PKR 10.944 million).

In agriculture commodities,4 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 1.647 million were traded.
