PMEX Commodity Index ends 10 points higher

May 08, 2020: On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index inched up by 10 points only to settle at 3,721. The traded value of Metals, Energy, and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.945 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,461.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 3.029 billion, followed by Crude Oil (PKR 801.153 million), NSDQ100 (PKR 717.403 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 615.535 million), Silver (PKR 437.091 million), Platinum (PKR 115.394 million), DJ (PKR 99.394 million), Natural Gas (PKR 74.226 million), SP500 (PKR 49.748 million) and Copper (PKR 5.716 million).

In agriculture commodities, 3 lot of Wheat amounting to PKR 12.523 million and one lot of Cotton amounting to PKR 0.446 million was traded.
