PMEX Commodity Index edges lower by 38 points

April 13, 2020: On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index edged lower by 38 points and closed at 3,727. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 9.332 billion and the number of lots traded was 23,939.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 4.962 billion, followed by Crude Oil (PKR 1.478 billion), NSDQ 100 (PKR 813.685 million), DJ (PKR 615.397 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 516.190 million), Silver (PKR 343.765 million), Copper (PKR 171.066 million), SP500 (PKR 163.207 million), Japan Equity (PKR 105.102million), Platinum (PKR 91.758 million), Natural Gas (PKR 72.081 million) and Brent (PKR 0.057 million).

In agriculture commodities, 3 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 13.937 million, 2 lots of Corn amounting to PKR 5.548 million and 8 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 3.620 million were traded.
