PMEX commodity index edges higher by 12 pts to 3,994 level

March 04, 2020: PMEX Commodity Index on Wednesday closed at 4,006 i.e 12 points higher than yesterday’s close. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.916 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,220.

Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 3.598 billion, followed by Currencies through COTS (PKR 1.957 billion), NSDQ100 (PKR 1.205 billion), Crude Oil (PKR 804.211 million), DJ (PKR 545.018 million), Silver (PKR 307.369 million), Platinum (PKR 202.213 million), SP500 (PKR 142.814 million), Copper (PKR 112.911 million), Natural Gas (PKR 33.113 million) and Brent Crude Oil (PKR 7.286 million).

In agriculture commodities, one lot of Wheat amounting to PKR 4.111 million and one lots of Corn amounting to PKR 2.907 million was traded.
