PSX Closing Bell: Bulls Keep It Close

September 25, 2026 (MLN): KSE100 Index closed Friday's trading session at 170,765.22 showing an increase of 0.16 percent or 266.28 points.

The index traded in a range of 1,269.17 points showing an intraday high of 171,159.73 (+660.78) and a low of 169,890.56 (-608.39) points.

Total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 212.459 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 57 closed up, 41 closed down while 2 remained unchanged.

The positive momentum was supported by softer oil prices, as investors weighed hopes for a potential U.S.-Iran truce against renewed security concerns in the Middle East following Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. The mixed signals kept gains in check but helped ease some pressure on market sentiment.

KSE100 index was supported by Commercial Banks with 161.84, Oil & Gas Marketing Companies with 55.64, Cement with 52.48, Leather & Tanneries with 18.62 and Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 18.11 points.

Companies adding points to the index were HBL with 71.32, UBL with 37.69, BAFL with 34.81, BAHL with 34.36 and PSO with 27.53 points.

KSE100 Index was let down by Technology & Communication with 13.36, Power Generation & Distribution with 10.57, Glass & Ceramics with 7.83, Pharmaceuticals with 7.82 and Insurance with 7.16 points.

Companies dragging the index lower were MEBL with 56.63, FFC with 38.25, HUBC with 21.44, PTC with 21.3 and CNERGY with 14.15 points.

In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 103,241.05 with a net gain of 137.96 points.

Total market volume was 482.758 million shares compared to 759.974 million from the previous session with traded value being recorded at Rs.19.28 billion showing a decrease of Rs.8.26 billion.

There was 291,830 trades reported in 493 companies with 219 closing up, 217 closing down and 57 remaining unchanged.
