PMEX Commodity Index closes at 3,653 points

April 20, 2020: On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index inched lower by 10 points and closed at 3,653-level. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.369 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,220.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.104 billion, followed by Crude Oil (PKR 793.793 million), NSDQ 100 (PKR 488.325 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 369.196 million), Silver (PKR 279.649 million), SP500 (PKR 114.571 million), Brent (PKR 73.597 million), Natural Gas (PKR 63.565 million), DJ (PKR 43.445 million), Platinum (PKR 28.529 million) and Copper (PKR 9.569 million).

In agriculture commodities, one lot of Soybean amounting to PKR 6.878 million, one lot of Wheat amounting to PKR 4.353 million and 2 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 0.876 million were traded.
