PMEX Commodity Index closes 148 points lower

March 19, 2020: On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index lost 148 points to close at 3,333-level . The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.878 billion and the number of lots traded was 15,728.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 6.243 billion, followed by Currencies through COTS (PKR 1.385 billion), DJ (PKR 1.319 billion), Crude Oil (PKR 698.801 million), NSDQ100 (PKR 544.047 million), Silver (PKR 283.932 million), Platinum (PKR 216.722 million), SP500 (PKR 91.378 million), Natural Gas (PKR 51.072 million), Copper (PKR 34.785 million) and Brent Crude Oil (PKR 9.194 million).

In agriculture commodities, one lot of Soybean amounting to PKR 6.604 million, one lot of Wheat amounting to PKR 3.945 million, one lot of Corn amounting to PKR 2.730 million and 2 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 0.917 million were traded.
