On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,440.
The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 7.274 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,379. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.585 billion, followed by currencies through COTS (PKR 1.629 billion), WTI crude oil (PKR 1.553 billion), DJ (PKR 571.555 million), platinum (PKR 351.363 million), silver (PKR 222.186 million), NSDQ100 (PKR 136.792 million), natural gas (PKR 87.979 million), Brent (PKR 53.853 million), SP500 (PKR 45.964 million) and copper (PKR 36.234 million).
In agricultural commodities, 514 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 249.701 million were traded.
