On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,467.
The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 8.032 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,706. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.296 billion, followed by WTI crude oil (PKR 1.962 billion), currencies through COTS (PKR 1.371 billion), DJ (PKR 1.115 billion), silver (PKR 612.612 million), platinum (PKR 321.724 million), NSDQ100 (PKR 156.118 million), copper (PKR 105.708 million), Brent (PKR 32.989 million), SP500 (PKR 29.963 million) and natural gas (PKR 27.547 million).
In agricultural commodities, 320 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 157.533 million were traded.
