PKR weakens by 1 paisa against greenback

November 16, 2020 (MLN): Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed today's trading session relatively unchanged against the USD with the rate remaing stable at PKR 158.17

The rupee endured a relatively dull trading session with very little intraday movement, trading in a range of 11 paisa per USD showing an intraday high bid of 158.20 and an intraday Low offer of 158.12.

Within the Open Market, PKR was traded at 157.50/158.50 per USD.

Meanwhile, the currency lost 1.1 rupees to the Pound Sterling as the day's closing quote stood at PKR 209.19 per GBP, while the previous session closed at PKR 208.1 per GBP.

Similarly, PKR's value weakened by 82 paisa against EUR which closed at PKR 187.69 at the interbank today.

On another note, within the money market, the overnight repo rate towards close of the session was 7.20/7.40 percent, whereas the 1 week rate was 7.05/7.10 percent.
