PKR lost currency value by 26% since January’22

September 20, 2022: The rupee is losing its value against the dollar and since 1 January 22 its value dropped by 26%, as on 1 January the dollar rate was 175.99 and today it stands at 238.50 in interbank, data generated by Mettis Global showed.

According to data, Pakistan stands as the 5th worst performing currency on the global map their currency value decreased by 26% and stands at 238.50.  But on top is the Srilanka currency which dropped by 45% due to the financial crisis in the country.

The second is Russia’s currency which dropped by 37%, the third is Argentina’s currency drop by 28%, Turkey comes forth which dropped by 27%, and then comes Pakistan at fifth.

Other countries in the region like Bangladesh, China, and India dropped by 17.5%, 9%, and 6.8% respectively.
