December 24, 2020 (MLN): USA remained as the top export destination for Pakistan with $1.855 billion worth of shipments in Jul-Nov FY21, against the exports of $1.744 billion in the same period of last year, showing an increase of 6% YoY.
According to the Country-wise trade data released by SBP, UK appeared as the second major destination country during the period under review wherein Pakistan exported goods worth $777.8 million against the exports of $726.94 million in Jul-Nov FY20, marking a growth of 6% YoY.
This was followed by China, wherein the total exports to the country during the said period declined by 15% YoY to $615.73 million from the exports of $727.48 million recorded in the corresponding period of previous year.
Next in line is Germany and UAE, Pakistani exports to them pegged at $615.53 million and $566 million during 5MFY21 respectively. Exports to Germany depicted a decline of 15% YoY, while exports to UAE surged by 11% YoY.
Among other countries, Pakistani exports to Netherlands during 5MFY21 stood at $411.2 million, down by 2% YoY, followed by the Afghanistan and Spain with $368.1 million and $289.997 million respectively, the data revealed.
Meanwhile, in the month of November’20 alone, Pakistan exported $394.5 million worth of goods and services to USA followed by UK and China with $171.47 million and $ 153.46 million respectively.
