Pakistan-S.Korea signs MoU for employment of Pakistani workers

ISLAMABAD, Mar 7 (APP):Pakistan and South Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at providing employment to Pakistani workers in Korea through Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) for two years 2018 to 2019.

The MoU was signed by Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Pir Syed Sadruddin Shah Rashidi while among others Secretary OP&HRD, Dr. Muhammad Hashim Popalzai, Ambassador of Korea in Pakistan,Kwak Seong Kyu, Managing Director OEC, Dr. Amer Sheikh and other senior officers of the Ministry and OEC were also present on the occasion, said a press release here on Wednesday.

The Federal Minister welcomed the Korean side for giving the government of Pakistan an opportunity to send Pakistani workers to South Korea through a transparent and efficient mechanism.
Speaking on the occasion, Kwak Sung-Kyu, the Ambassador appreciated the cooperation between the Ministry of OP&HRD and Ministry of Employment and Labour, Korea for employment of skilled and dedicated labour from Pakistan.

He expressed that this cooperation will further improve in future.
