Pakistan, Hungary agree to expand bilateral ties in diverse fields

September 22, 2020: Pakistan and Hungary have agreed to expand bilateral parliamentary relations and intensify cooperation in energy and trade sectors for tapping unexplored potential in Pakistan.

It was stated during a meeting of Charge d' Affairs Republic of Hungary with the Speaker National Assembly at Parliament House in Islamabad, Speaker Assad Qaiser said that Pakistan attaches immense value to its friendly relations with Hungary and desires for enhancing long-lasting cooperation.

The Speaker said that there are plenty of investment opportunities in agriculture, energy, tourism, and infrastructure in Pakistan that could benefit Hungarian investors.

He appreciated the Hungarian scholarship program for Pakistani students to study in Hungary and stressed the need to expand bilateral parliamentary relations.

In response, the Hungarian Charge d’ Affairs Tivadar Takacas said that his country also desires to strengthen its ties with Pakistan.

He agreed that parliamentary interaction would help in bringing both the countries closer.
