Pak-Turkey agreed for extending bilateral relations in field of aviation

Pakistan and Turkey on Thursday mutually agreed for extending their bilateral relations and to work collectively in the field of aviation particularly for the betterment of Pakistan International Airlines.

Consensus to this regard was developed in a meeting between Advisor to Prime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan and Ambassador of Turkey in Pakistan Mustafa Yurdakul. Senior officials of aviation division were also present on the occasion, said a press release.

It said that during the meeting different matters relating to mutual cooperation in different sectors also came under discussion.

Turkish Ambassador appreciated the steps taken by the incumbent government particularly the efforts and contribution made by Sardar Mehtab in order to restructuring Pakistan International Airlines and for the betterment of aviation sector in Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister’s Adviser on Aviation said government was focusing on strengthening regional cooperation and bilateral relations to ensure the prosperity and sustainable peace not only in Pakistan but in the whole region.

He said Pakistan and Turkey are brother countries and their friendship would last forever. We are enthusiastic to collaborate on different projects with Turkey to further promote this relation and to collaborate in aviation sector particularly for the betterment of different departments of PIA including IT and enhancement of engineering setup.

Turkish Ambassador assured the Adviser that the existing cooperation in the aviation sector between the two countries will continue.

He said that we were ready to work closely to provide further assistance to the Pakistan in the aviation sector.
