Otsuka Pakistan decides to close Line II production

February 03, 2023 (MLN): Otsuka Pakistan Limited (OTSU) will close Line II production from February 04, 2023, to April 02, 2023, as per a notice issued to PSX.

The company will install a new automatic air washing, filling, sealing, and cap washing machine at its IV Solutions 1000 mL manufacturing facility (Line-Il) which will replace the old machine in use.

The new machinery will be operated as per GMP Compliance.

The BFS-II machine at Line III has been disposed of as it was not operational since July 01, 2022, due to its obsolescence.

The disposal will impact the production capacity of Plastic Ampoules (5 mL to 25 mL), but the current capacity is sufficient to meet customer requirements.
