NEPRA launches 'Asaan Approach' app to streamline consumer complaints

October 11, 2024 (MLN): The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has launched a new mobile application, 'NEPRA Asaan Approach,' to enhance the quality of service for electricity consumers across Pakistan.

This app is designed to facilitate users in registering complaints related to a variety of electricity issues, including power outages, voltage fluctuations, electrical fires, line faults. and billing errors.

By providing a streamlined platform for complaint submission, the app aims to ensure that these issues are reported and addressed more swiftly and efficiently.

During the launch event, NEPRA Chairman Waseem Mukhtar highlighted that the introduction of the app is a significant step in the organization's commitment to delivering multi-channel service options to electricity consumers nationwide.

Addressing some of the criticisms directed at NEPRA regarding its efforts to improve consumer services, he underscored the app's role in enhancing the overall customer experience.

The 'NEPRA Asaan Approach' app boasts a user-friendly interface that not only simplifies the process of filing complaints but also enables consumers to track the status of their issues in real-time.

This feature is expected to significantly improve the efficiency and transparency of the complaint resolution process.

NEPRA Member Technical, Rafique Ahmad Shaikh, emphasized that the launch of the app is a timely solution aimed at meeting the growing demand for a more effective complaint management system.
