August 12, 2024 (MLN): Motorcycles and three-wheeler sales in Pakistan rose 15.5% YoY in July 2024 to 84,993 units compared to 73,588 units sold in the same month of last year, the latest data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) showed today.
Conversely, on a month-on-month basis, the sales were recorded 5.45% MoM lower compared to the topline of 89,895 in June 2024.
The total production of Motorcycles and three-wheelers in Pakistan was recorded at 85,516 units in July, up 11.55% YoY compared to 76,661 manufactured in the same month of last year.
On a monthly basis, the comparison reflects an inverse trend, with production declining 2.65% MoM. In the previous month, 87,844 Motorcycles and three-wheelers were manufactured in the country.
Honda continued to solidify its position as the dominant industry leader, with sales of 70,255 units in July alone, taking its market share to 82.66%.
The brand's sales figure reflect a drop of 12.4% compared to the previous month, while up 13.29% compared to the topline recorded in July 2023.
The second and third leaders on the list were United Auto Motorcycle and Suzuki, with sales figures of 9,202 and 1,643 units respectively in the review month.
Following closely, Sazgar Three Wheeler sold 1,624 bikes in July, down 10.67% MoM, while 113.4% higher compared to July 2023.
