Ministry directs designated banks to collect Rs0.8mn as Hajj dues

May 24, 2022 (MLN): This year, Pakistani pilgrims, availing the government Hajj Scheme will have to pay Rs0.8mn to perform Hajj, a notice issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony showed.

In the notice, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has directed all the designated banks under contract with Ministry to collect Hajj dues amounting to Rs800,000 each from all those applicants who have been declared successful in the ballot held on May 15, 2022 under government scheme.

Collection of Hajj dues shall start from May 25, 2022 and the deadline for collection of Hajj dues is May 27, 2022, the notice said.
