MPS Preview: High for Longer

KSE Update: KSE-100 at 45903 points down by 0.21%; sheds 92.25 points

KSE-100 gained more than 214 points in first hour of open; however the spike was short lived. The markets went downward from their early peak.

KSE-100 is currently trading at 45903.56 points, touching an early high of 46213.14 points.

In corporate alert, K-Electric announced it plans to 900MW RLNG Combined Cycle Power Plant at Bin Qasim subject to review petition on Multi Year Tariff determination pending with NEPRA.

Modarba Al-Mali (BankIslami Modarba Investments) declares a DPS of Rs.0.28/- per share and reports an EPS of 0.35 for the year ended June 30, 2017.

KAPCO announced it is considering a bid to acquire 14.91% stake in HUBCO.

Sectors leading the volume include Commercial Banks, Engineering Refinery, Textile Composite And Oil & Gas Marketing Companies.

The value traded during the first three hours of the session has totaled to 3.05 billion, whereas volume traded has amounted to 34.7 million for the day.
