December 30, 2022 (MLN): KSE-100 Benchmark Index gained 673.09 points (1.69%) after making a high of 40,420.45 and a low of 39,694.12 in intraday trading, data compiled from Mettis Global.
By the session’s end, the total volumes of the KSE-100 index stood at 203.92 shares, increased by 18.33% DoD from 166.55shares traded on Friday.
Shares of 94 companies were traded on Friday, of which 70 registered an increase, 23 recorded a fall and one remained unchanged.
In terms of sectors, most of the positive commercial banks, oil & gas exploration, miscellaneous, fertilizer, and oil & gas marketing companies positively contributed 425.43 points.
Meanwhile, the volume leaders on the benchmark index were KEL (69.81mn), PPL (11.90mn), PAEL (10.85mn), OGDC (10.28mn), and PIBTL (10.03mn).
The scrips which gained the most during the session included: RMPL (7.13%), NESTLE (3.78%), PSEL (7.50%), PAKT (7.11%), and MARI (3.83%). On the other hand, the stocks that emerged as net losers during the day included THALL (6.54%), POL (2.65%), HINOON (1.49%), GLAXO (2.56%), and SRVI (0.67%).
