The KSE – 100 Index suffered to profit taking yet again today after investors booked their profits taking advantage of the recent rally in the benchmark index.
Oil & Gas Exploration companies were relatively mixed after International Crude Prices touched the $ 70 per barrel. Pakistan International Bulk Terminal PIBTL +1.78% closed positive after news regarding Port Qasim Authority allowing company to setup an LPG handling facilities at its existing terminal site.
ISL -5.00%, DGKC -4.93%, NESTLE -4.39%, DGKC -4.93%, PSO -3.88%, OGDC -1.41%, ENGRO -1.69%, and UBL – 1.14%, were among the top 10 losers for the day, collectively taking away 203.78 points. Sector-wise all share index turnover was led by Technology & Communication (50.647 million), Engineering (22.785 million), and Cement (21.539 million) with Inv. Banks/Inv. Cos./Securities Co. (7.991 million) and Textile Spinning (7.002 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.
KSE-100 Index at the day end moved a total of -461.56 points down by -1.06%, closing in at 42933.72 points with index high-low range of 43436.20 – 42754.30.
KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 238.585 million shares, value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 10.319 billion.
The index movement was limited within the 681.90 points range.
