KOHC boosts clinker production to 7,064 TPD after successful BMR

February 26, 2024 (MLN): Right after the successful completion of the BMR (pyro process optimization) for the existing 6,700 TPD grey cement production line of Kohat Cement Company Limited (PSX: KOHC) located in Kohat, the clinker production capacity of the Company has enhanced from 6,700 TPD to 7,064 TPD.

The information was disseminated through a notification to PSX on Monday.

KOHC is one of the leading cement companies in Pakistan, reporting a rise of 19.1% YoY in its earnings in 1HFY24 to clock in its profit after tax at Rs4.45 billion [EPS: Rs22.6], compared to a profit of Rs3.74bn [EPS: Rs18.62] in the same period last year (SPLY).

It is expected political stability after elections may boost investors’ confidence resulting in improved economic and construction activities which shall also positively affect the operational and financial position of the company.
