September 18, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan’s benchmark KSE-100 Index extended its recovery on Friday, gaining 1,841.39 points or 1.09% to close at 170,884.58, as broad-based buying across banks, cement, fertilizer and exploration stocks lifted investor sentiment.
The market’s positive momentum was supported by a decline in oil prices, as expectations of additional Saudi crude reaching international markets helped ease supply concerns. The softer oil outlook provided relief to investors despite renewed concerns over escalating attacks involving Saudi Arabia and Iran-backed Houthi forces.
