IRSA releases 70,644 cusecs water

March 09, 2022: River System Authority (IRSA) Wednesday released 70,644 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 78,883 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,085.50 feet, which was 33.05 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded 39,718 and 31,979 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 19,477 , 19,920 and 28,810 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River, a total of 4,900 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 14,865 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
