June 28, 2021(MLN): The price of gold increased by Rs200 today in the domestic bullion market, as the price of 24 karat gold closed at Rs109,500 per tola against its previous sale at Rs109,300per tola.

According to the data provided by the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also inched up by Rs172 and was sold for Rs93,879 at the closing of trade while the price of 10gm 22k gold stood at Rs86,055.

Unlike gold, the price of silver remained static as 24-Karat silver per tola and 10-gram were available at Rs1,420 and Rs1,217.42 respectively.

On the contrary, the demand for yellow metal witnessed a slight dent of $4 to stand at $1,778 per ounce as investors remained on the sidelines given the U.S. Federal Reserve’s mixed signals on policy tightening. Meanwhile, a relatively weaker dollar limited the metal from a sharp cut. Silver was valued at $26.11 an ounce.
