Gold edges lower by Rs900 to close at Rs108,600 per tola

June 29, 2021(MLN): The price of gold witnessed a notable decline of Rs900 on Tuesday in the domestic bullion market, as the price of 24 karat gold stood at Rs108,600 per tola against its previous sale at Rs109,500per tola.

According to the data provided by the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also inched down by Rs772 and was sold for Rs93,107 at the closing of trade while the price of 10gm 22k gold valued at Rs86,055.

Likewise, the price of 24-Karat silver per tola went down by Rs10 and was available at Rs1,410 while the price of 10-gram silver dipped by  Rs8.58 and traded at Rs1,208.84.

In the international market, demand for the yellow metal was dented by $10 to value at $1,768 on the back of dollar gains and the cautious behavior of investors as their focus was largely tilted towards the upcoming U.S. jobs report that could offer a clearer picture on the Federal Reserve's next move on monetary policy. Silver was valued at $25.95.
